This may be my favourite adventure to date so please excuse the over sharing…

We were staying in Haworth for a few days between tour venues and the second I saw the Railway I knew we had to go!

You enter into an old fashioned ticket hall – and you are transported (see what I did there…) back in time…

Isla was thrilled to get her very own ticket and held onto it proudly, offering to show anyone who would stop to look!

We waited for our train in the warm waiting room – Isla was mesmerised by the magical man in the ticket booth!

We boarded at Ingrow West and bought a return ticket to go to the end of the line and back. Parking was much easier here at the smaller station and only one stop along from the start of the line.

I can not explain to you the excitement when we first saw the beautiful steam train pulling into the station…

We quickly boarded the stunning carriages and found our seats.

After a few games of ‘That?’ That?’ That?’ – Isla’s new favourite where we have to explain in detail every little thing that she points at – she decided to head off with Daddy in search of the bar!

They returned triumphantly with a glass of prosecco for me, juice for Isla and a beer for Daddy! I took Isla down to the end of the carriage – just to make sure she wasn’t missing a thing and we settled down for the journey.

Isla’s outfit is a mixture of high street and small designer brands. Top – Gap. Skirt – Julie Dausell. Tights – Zara. Shoes – Petasil. Bunny – JellyCat.

Isla was an absolute dream for the entire ride – she loved pointing at everything out the window and we took some of our favourite mess-free travel toys with us too.

 At the end of the line you can get out, stretch your legs and take a look around. We decided to stay on the train as Isla was happy & the weather was pretty chilly!

All too soon our magical journey had to come to an end and we got off the train ready to head over to our next hotel and enjoy some Bronte Sisters fun.
