We have some seriously yummy toddler goodness to share with you today… The brilliant Heavenly Tasty Organics have sent us enough snacks to feed a small toddler army… but I don’t think Isla will be willing to share!
I hadn’t intended to let Isla loose on the snacks but she came down from her nap just as I was photographing them and helped herself… please excuse the messy PJ’s! She is pretty much the laziest toddler in the world – and often wakes up like some sort of angry, moping teenager – not today! Coconut Squishes sorted her out in no time – she went from grumpy guss to dancing around to Moana in minutes.
A very quick costume change and she was ready to get stuck in to some more goodies!
Heavenly Tasty Organics are actually the first baby/toddler food brand to be accredited by Sugarwise, an organisation fast becoming the equivalent to the Fairtrade mark for lower sugar food and drink.
Following in-depth analysis by Cambridge University and Caltech scientists (ooh ahh!!), the complete Heavenly range was found to meet Sugarwise’s strict standards regarding quality and free sugar content! We didn’t give Isla any sugar (just fruit) until she was well over 1 and still try to keep it to the absolute minimum so I love that I can call on these snacks with confidence!
The collection of snacks includes; Coconut Squishies (6mths) which are made from coconut milk, Yummy Wafer Wisps (6mths), Happy Halo Bites (10mths) the handiest small snack, Crispy Veggie Waffles (12mths) in a pumpkin flavour or Beetroot & Shallot and Mini Italian Breadsticks (12mths).
Isla wasted no time in getting stuck in & demanded Daddy open one of each! We tried the Happy Halo Bites – which were perfect to lure her over for photos (think Hansel & Gretel breadcrumbs but less sinister!), they come in a re-sealable bag and would be perfect little pick me ups to keep in the baby bag!
Yes, she is dancing because of snacks… I don’t blame her! Haha! The wafers come in little individually wrapped packets which would be great to put in the lunch box for nursery or take out with you. They are quite big for Isla so she likes to have one wafer and saved the rest for later.
When you find love… make sure they look at you the same way Isla looks at Coconut Squishies… Hahaha!
And just like that it was gone… horror… ‘Mum make it come back…’
She got over her one true love pretty quickly when Barney cracked open the box of Crispy Veggie Waffles… We haven’t tried the other flavour yet but the Beet & Shallot were an absolute triumph. I didn’t think I’d ever see the day that Isla happily ate Beetroot but there you go! And like all the others – no added sugar! Hurrah!
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen her happier… Haha!
‘Ok that’s quite enough posing… now it’s time to try & force feed Mummy…’
We were sent the snacks to try but were under no obligation to write this post & all the opinions are my own.
We were so impressed & will be adding these to our shopping basket regularly… to find out where you can buy them just head here. And while you are over there make sure you check out their blog – it’s got some great articles and cute content for the kids too!
