Isla and Poppy have been on a VERY exciting adventure this week… if you aren’t feeling festive – just you wait!!
We were all invited to Worlds End Garden Centre in Wendover to meet Santa and go for a very magical walk through their Winter Wonderland Experience! As you can see the girls were struggling to play it cool…
As you walk through there is a sweet rhyming story to tell the kids and every room has a different scene to explore!
Our favourite part was the absolutely magical bridge that even had a little pond and more fairy lights than we’ve ever seen! If you were following along live with our Instagram Stories you will have seen Isla pointing out all the animals hidden around the scene and shouting ‘WOW!’ every few seconds!
Through the magical portal into a snowy scene! Complete with dragons & unicorns!
My fearless girl – she ‘booped’ him on the nose and ran off giggling! But Daddy was the only one game from a funny photo… the girls wouldn’t stop exploring for even a second!
Another brilliant room – under the sea we went – complete with UV lights!
The final stop on the tour before Santa… The North Pole!!
‘Pops… you stand guard while I break in to get the cookies!!’
And just like that we were getting ready to meet the big man himself…
All of the elves were so sweet to the girls and added to the magical experience by staying in character and getting them excited to meet Santa!
The Santa was really kind and patient even when both girls threatened a meltdown. The second presents were mentioned all was forgiven for the dodgy beard and the girls were smiling again!
High fives all round! Much better than last year when she was beyond hysterical! The elf then opened up the magic door and revealed…
Their very own Christmas Tree to plant in the garden!
On the way out you can grab some accessories for your mini tree to decorate at home! I thought this was such a lovely extra touch to an already incredibly magical experience!
Every step of the way there is something to keep the kids entertained – almost everything moves, sings, dances or waves!
After your trip to Santa they have a few rides, some stalls with brilliant local vendors selling Christmas Gifts, food on offer as well as a giant snow globe experience that you get in to have a photo taken!
The girls had the most wonderful day out which was full of new experiences and so much to see. I know it is one of the more expensive Grottos in the area but you pay for what you get and here I really think it’s worth every penny! And if you don’t want to see Santa you can walk through the Winter Wonderland Experience for £3 each! More information can be found here.
My top tip would be try and go off peak if you can with little ones that won’t want to queue and wrap up nice and warm as parts of it were chilly – especially if you are queuing to go in! I can’t wait to see all your little ones enjoying it – I’ve had so many messages on Instagram telling me you are planning a trip – so make sure to tag me in your pictures as always!
We are feeling so festive now and will definitely take Isla back before Christmas to walk through the Winter Wonderland Experience again!
